July 9th, 2014 — Miami, FL — Lex Promotions and Marketing Group partnered with TEAM Media to provide exceptional lifestyle event coverage for legendary music label Motown Records during the 2014 Essence Festival this past weekend.
With over a half million consumers in New Orleans for Essence Festival and Motown priority artists Ne-Yo, Kem, Kevin Ross, and Erykah Badu, it was a must that LPMG/Team Media put together an effective activation campaign to create brand awareness.
Over the weekend, LPMG’s promotional models were present at all the major events promoting the Motown artists with the use of creative, non-traditional promotional tools like lifesize boards, custom sandals, pocket mirrors, and water sprayers. The team brought “Hollywood” to “New Orleans” with the creation, design, and printing of “Motown Stars” – a creative vinyl floor sticker with the artist’s name, album, and Motown logo. These “Motown Stars” were the talk of the weekend as artists, celebrities, consumers, and press all stopped to take a picture with the “Motown Stars”. If you happened to not be on foot interacting with the promotional models, then you would have seen the mobile billboard trucks promoting Motown’s artist Kem.
Kem had one of the biggest turn-out’s, in terms of attendance, for his performance on Saturday at the McDonalds stage, partly due to the the team informing consumers of his performance time and location. The weekend was wrapped up with a private Motown brunch with executives, selected fans, and KEM.
